Dallas City Performance Hall, Saenger Theatre Receive IES Awards of Excellence

Schuler Shook is proud to announce that Dallas City Performance Hall and Saenger Theatre each received an International Illumination Design Award of Excellence from the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). The honors were announced at the IES Annual Conference in conjunction with LIGHTFAIR International in November. Robert Shook, Michael DiBlasi and Julia Gordon, representing Schuler Shook’s design teams, were on hand to receive the awards.

The Award of Excellence is part of the highest level of lighting awards that the IES bestows. The IES notes that the Award of Excellence is given for an exceptional contribution to the art and science of lighting design.”

Dallas City Performance Hall and Saenger Theatre each had received a Design Award of Merit in early 2014 and enough points to continue to the final level of judging in June. Two other Schuler Shook projects received a Design Award of Merit and advanced to the final round of judging: Loyola University – Damen Student Center and Loyola University – Institute of Environmental Sustainability.

Five more Schuler Shook projects received regional Awards of Merit: Gelber Group, Radisson Blu — Mall of America, Radisson Blu — Warwick Hotel, RiverEdge Park, and Wrigley Building Plaza.
