Schuler Shook Congratulates Partner Kimberly Corbett Oates on Being Named a USITT Fellow

News – Mar 2026

Schuler Shook is pleased to announce that Partner Kimberly Corbett Oates has been named a Fellow of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT), one of the organization’s highest honors.

USITT Fellows are recognized for many years of exceptional contributions to the Institute and the live entertainment industry. Fellows are leaders in their respective disciplines and serve as trusted resources in advancing USITT’s mission through mentorship, leadership, fundraising, and outreach.

Corbett Oates’ involvement with USITT began early in her career and deepened through active participation in conferences, standards development, and leadership initiatives. Through her work with Entertainment Services and Technology Association (ESTA) and ongoing engagement with USITT, she played a key role in strengthening connections between industry organizations and contributing to the advancement of engineering standards and professional practice.

I’m honored to be accepted into the Fellows. This group is filled with people who have had such incredible impact on the live entertainment industry, and it is my privilege to call several my mentors and friends. Becoming a fellow isn’t a capstone achievement — it’s a call to continue to serve this industry, this Institute and its members. I’m thankful for the confidence my nominators and the Fellows have placed in me.”

Schuler Shook celebrates Kimberly Corbett Oates’ well-deserved recognition and her continued leadership within the theatre consulting and live performance community. We also congratulate Kimberly’s fellow nominees, Dana Taylor and Jim Streeter.
