Kaili Story
Lighting Specialist
Kaili has a deep fascination with all aspects of lighting design and utilizing the medium, like one would a paint brush, to sculpt figures and architectural elements. As a former dancer, she has a keen eye for creating an intelligent emotional arc to her designs. She takes inspiration from multi-dimensional aspects of art, thrives in collaborative environments, and loves to employ visual elements as a means of communication.
Kaili’s theatrical lighting designs have taken her around the world, including Australia, Korea, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. She has toured internationally as the Lighting Supervisor for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Pilobolus Dance Company. Kaili’s extensive theatrical lighting experience informs her work in the realm of the built environment.
In her spare time, Kaili is also a metalsmith and creator of Savage GRL, a feminist jewelry line designed to empower survivors of sexual assault.
