WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will support the audio video team in the design and documentation of audio video projects. You will prepare presentation materials and construction documents for a wide range of commercial spaces including performance venues, worship, museums, offices, and hospitality. Your audio video design, production, and/or installation background will inform your work and allow you to participate more completely in our design process and discussions.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Your abilities are more important to us than the number of years of experience you have, but 3 years of experience in theatre and event production or AV systems integration is required. In addition, 1 year of drafting experience with CAD is desired and Revit is preferred. An otherwise well-qualified candidate who does not have Revit experience will be required to attend Revit training. As an entry-level designer, you will join the Schuler Shook team and create Revit or CAD documentation for assigned projects.
You must be a proficient visual and verbal communicator and be able to manage multiple tasks to meet client deadlines. Experience with Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office applications is required. Experience with loudspeaker modeling software is a plus.
Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with some or all of the following systems:
- Production Audio
- Production Video
- AV Presentation and Control
- Assisted Listening
- Production Intercom and Video Monitoring
- Video Recording and Broadcast
We are a client-driven group, so you will go beyond the drafting aspects of the job. Strong communication and organizational skills and personal initiative are required. The ability to manage your time effectively between multiple projects is a must.
Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
