Schuler Shook Helps Out at North Texas Food Bank

News – Sept 2011

Schuler Shook’s Dallas office recently completed a Give Back” community service day of volunteering. With project consultant Kim Corbett coordinating, the team chose to give a day of service at the North Texas Food Bank and had a fun time doing it.

Working with other volunteers, the team carried, sorted and boxed food items to fill four pallets containing 120 boxes of food. That translates to 3,360 meals!

A member of America’s Second Harvest National Food Bank Network, the North Texas Food Bank helps address hunger in the North Texas area by obtaining donations of surplus nutritious foods and grocery products. It then distributes the food to more than 900 charitable and educational programs in 13 North Texas counties, including food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters, after-school programs, senior citizen centres and other social service centres.
