This neoclassical-style, grand banking hall was originally completed in 1924, and since then has been home to various Chicago financial institutions. In 2014, new owner Wintrust Financial charged the design team with revealing the beauty and grandeur of this architectural treasure.
Schuler Shook replaced imbalanced lighting with layers of light that accentuate aspects of the 54-foot-tall hall. The new lighting brings harmony of light between the lower half of the room and the beautiful ceiling above. Uneven mural illumination was corrected, and historic chandeliers in adjacent open offices areas were refurbished.
