Carleton College, Weitz Center for Creativity

The Kracum Performance Hall is at the center of the addition to Weitz Center for Creativity. This 400-seat technically advanced hall was designed with flexibility, accommodating a full range of concerts, diverse music ensembles, dance recitals, and theatrical performances with minimal effort to modify the performance space.

The hall is equipped with motorized acoustic ceiling reflectors. The lower half of the side walls rotate open to create traditional wings for dance and theatrical
performance.

Portable acoustic towers roll out to accommodate smaller ensembles. Motorized acoustic curtains wrap the space, allowing music directors to change the acoustics of the room with a push of a button.
