Plaza Theatre

Tp Plaza Theatre 1 Edit1

Since its opening in 1930, the Plaza Theatre was known as the Showplace of the Southwest for it’s size, elaborate decor, and technical innovations. This atmospheric theater displayed a starry night with clouds and a dark sky across the ceiling when the lights dimmed. In 1986 the deteriorating theatre was saved from demolition.

Schuler Shook's theatre planning services for the renovation and restoration included a new larger stage house, new children's theatre and all new support spaces and technical systems for this 2,100-seat theatre.
