The three-acre park runs along a train track and includes urban open space, a bandshell, a shade structure, and restrooms, all in response to the community’s priorities.
Railyard Park
Rogers, AR
The City of Rogers has seen an increase in population growth and economic development and has taken the opportunity to revitalize key areas in town, including a new park, the Railyard. Significant input from community members combined with an understanding of the site’s history provided inspiration and direction for the design team.
Lighting design scope included site lighting, interior building lighting and general stage lighting. We paid special attention to streetscape fixtures, as Rogers installed some of the first street lamps in Arkansas at the turn of the previous century. Streetscape lighting selections reinforce this aspect of the town’s history while newer glare shields avoid light pollution.
